On 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd September, mezzo-soprano Emma Brown will appear as a guest soloist at the Belfast Tattoo at the SSE Arena, Belfast. She will sing “Going Home” and “I’m Dreaming of Home” to mark the Centenary of the Battle of the Somme.

The BBC will be recording the tattoo to broadcast highlights on a later date on BBC Northern Ireland.

On Saturday, 27^th August, Emma Brown sang at the reunion of Dutch colonial soldiers from Surinam (TRIS). This was a moving day in which veterans reunited and remembered their experiences and the friends they had lost. Emma sang with the Band of Liberation under conductor Simon Dubbelaar during the presentation of medals to veterans.
