Emma collaborated with the band in their album Fantasia, which is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and at Floating World Records.

“Dominus Illuminatio Mea” – a new composition

Thank you to the Leidse Cantorij for singing my new composition during the church service of the Leidse Binnenstadsgemeente this morning.

The introit was part of a join project with Kathinka de Ruiter for the birthday of our minister, Margreet Klokke, which included compositions by Kathinka.

Dominus Illumatio Mea is Psalm 27 in the Vulgate, and Psalm 26 for the Leidse Binnenstadsgemeente:

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

Corona Remembrance Service

On 20th September, Emma will sing during a Corona Remembrance service in Leiderdorp, the Netherlands, together with pianist/organist Matthias Konijnenberg, pianist Peter van Veen, and lyre-player Mariëtte Burm.

The ceremony has been organized by the Dutch Protestant Church together with Arum Funeral Care. During the lockdown in spring and early summer, the number of people attending funerals was heavily restricted, which often gave a bleak and sombre feeling to the occasion. Now that more people are allowed to gather together, the church and the undertakers wanted to give people the chance to look back on the lives of those who passed away during the lockdown.

The ceremony is therefore open to people from all religions and of no religion. It is led by the minister, Hester Smit.

To apply for a place, please contact Arum Uitvaartverzorger on 071 572 00 76.
